D-STAR
Pittsburgh's original D-STAR digital voice repeaters.
D-STAR is an open digital voice and data standard for amateur radio, developed by the Japan Amateur Radio League (JARL). NHARC brought Pittsburgh’s first D-STAR repeater on the air in June 2007, installed at the WQED TV transmitter building in Oakland.
Today the club operates D-STAR on W3EXW C (146.82 MHz, 2 m) and W3PGH B (444.35 MHz, 70 cm). The 146.82 machine hosts the Western PA D-STAR net every Monday at 9:00 PM, linked to reflector REF063C.

New to D-STAR? Your radio must be registered on the D-STAR gateway before you can use the routing and reflector features. Ask on a net or email info@nharc.org and a club member will be glad to help you get set up.
Supporting the repeaters
The repeaters are maintained by a separately incorporated non-profit repeater association, supported by member donations. Contributions of $20 or more include autopatch privileges on the 146.88 and 147.09 machines. Tower space is generously provided by WPXI and WQED.
